We previously reported that the next-generation Range Rover will come in 2012 and just a few days ago some spy sots of the new generation Range Rover confirmed our report: Land Rover works hard and tests its Range Rover in all kind of conditions. While our previous spy shots show the upcoming Range Rover during hot weather testing in Southern Europe, today we have for you the latest spy photos of this model taken during its hi-speed testing.
It’s hard, but that’s the life of the new Range Rover that arrived to the Nürburgring earlier this evening for some serious testing in the “Green Hell”. As you can see from these pictures, one guy was trying to cover the car up, but he failed in a funny funny way, so that we wanted to share this set with you.
Unfortunately, isn’t the time yet for us to see all the secrets of this car, not because of that guy with the jacket, but because it wears a lot of cammouflage. Still you can notice the full LED headlights.
No official details were released, but rumors are talking about that the new platform is a modified Jaguar XJ platform that has been strengthen on vital places to make sure the off-road capabilities will remain top of the line. Beside this, the new Range Rover is also told to be much lighter than the current one, thanks to more aluminum used on both chassis and body, so it will likely be more faster than the current model.
The new generation Range Rover will get his power from both diesel and petrol engines known from the current line-up, even if slightly upgraded, and there will also be two hybrid versions. In conclusion, the new model will be available both as diesel hybrid and as petrol hybrid when it will be official in late 2012 or early 2013.
As for the prices, some rumors say that the newcar will be priced around $90-100,000, but that remains to be seen. Until then you can check out our photo gallery below and share your views about this model.

Spied! Next-Gen Land Rover Range Rover Goes Incognito on European Streets

http://wot.motortrend.com/files/2011/08/2013-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-Front-Three-Quarters-623x389.jpg

Just a couple weeks ago, we brought you the news that the next-generation Land Rover Range Rover would borrow styling cues from the Evoque. Now, we can better picture what Land Rover is cooking up with its largest SUV, as our spy photographer has captured a heavily camouflaged test mule driving on public roads.
At first glance, this appears to be an ordinary Range Rover dressed up in camo, but upon closer inspection you’ll notice a few minor differences. The rear doors feature a slight kink where they meet the C-pillar, as opposed to the more straight-up- and-down line of the current Range Rover. A roof spoiler similar to the one used on the Evoque is seen above the rear hatch. There’s not much we can comment on in the front, as that portion of the car wears the most camouflage. However, expect to see some Evoque influence in the next-gen Range Rover’s nose as well.
It’s rumored that the next Range Rover will ride on a stiffened Jaguar XJ platform, said to be reinforced enough to keep the SUV’s off-road capabilities intact. Contrary to what we reported in May, the word on the street now is that both the next-gen Discovery, sold as the LR4 in the U.S., and Range Rover Sport will be based on this modified XJ platform. Gasoline and diesel engines could be carried over from the current generation at first, but at least one newhybrid drivetrain is currently in development.
The next Range Rover could arrive by late 2012 or early 2013, but you can expect more details to emerge closer to the car’s debut – likely happening sometime next year.

2013 Range Rover latest spy photos

Large and in charge

Work continues on the 2013 Range Rover ('http://www.worldcarfans.com/tag/2013-range-rover') as our spies have caught a prototype undergoing testing in the Sierra ('http://www.worldcarfans.com/111081635760/2013-range-rover-latest-spy-photos#') Nevada Mountains of Spain.
Heavily camouflaged, the luxury flagship strives to strike a balance between the Range Rover's classic lines and the sporty styling of the Evoque ('http://www.worldcarfans.com/110092228533/range-rover-evoque-detailed-ahead-of-paris-debut'). As such, the model features a clamshell hood, a sloping roofline and LED-infused headlights.
Despite being significantly larger, the next-generation Range Rover is expected to weigh approximately 400 kg (881 lbs) less than the current version. To get this dramatic reduction, the model will reportedly ride on an aluminum chassis that was developed with the assistance of Jaguar.
Engine options could carryover from the current model, but there have also been rumors of a hybrid / plug-in hybrid variant ('http://www.worldcarfans.com/111040731312/range-rover-hybrid-coming-in-2013---report') that might feature technology from the Range_e concept ('http://www.worldcarfans.com/111030130931/land-rover-range_e-plug-in-hybrid-debuts-in-geneva-video').

So true, it's like a mix of both Evoque and Suburban. But I want to see how it will look without the camo. I love the Suburban SUV, just has a nice look to it.

The new Range Rover SUV should be something everyone must see. If GM can do it properly, Range Rover can do it better..
