THE much-publicised and long-awaited new Range Rover model, the Evoque, arrived in West Norfolk in style last week.
Around 100 VIP guests saw the car first, at an invitation-only party at Heacham Manor staged by the West Norfolk dealership, Hunter Land Rover.
This was followed by an open weekend which drew several hundred people to the showrooms in Scania Way, Lynn, where they were able to see models in all three specifications, with petrol and diesel engines and manual and automatic transmissions.
The cars are now available for test drives and the sales team have taken deposits and are helping clients to select their choices of specification, colour co-ordinates and design themes.
The Evoque marks a turning point for Range Rover and is the cleanest, greenest and most economical model it has produced.
“We are delighted with the response to the new car,” said Andi Woolley, general manager at Hunter Land Rover.
“I estimate that at least 95 per cent of those who saw the car over the weekend thought it was fantastic.
“People have been taking pictures on their phones and following the cars down the road to get a closer look.”
