Battery light on

Hi i recently bought a evoque 2012 pure 4 edition. It had the battery light on but seller assured me it was just the battery needed changing. I purchased it🤔(I know)🙈 but have since had battery checked and alternator but both are spot on. Ive noticed i dont have the little battery most cars have but no wires to show it was there and my stop start doesnt work at all. Any ideas how i can fix battery warning light or resolve this issue. Runs and drives fine its just so frustrating😨🤞. Thanks
